Spoke to the CS today and it appears that builders are prepared to move the downpipes but as they have been installed as per plans any changes will have to be at our cost! Bummer!!! I guess the lesson to be learned from this is to double check all plans and then check again.
What we intend doing is to replace the downpipes with rain cups (a variation to rain chains) hopefully these will add to rather than detract from the main entrance.
